Not Good News But Not All Bad

Today was my quarterly visit to my doctor. There I was given some not good news. My blood sugar has gone up — again — and she wants to change my medication to one I’ll need to inject. It’s not insulin and I’ll only need to do it once a week but … yucki!
She sent the prescription to the pharmacy. When they called to say it was ready, they also said the cost was $141! I may need to give up eating altogether because I can’t afford this kind of drug expense.

But the better news was that my cholesterol numbers were okay and I don’t seem to have other problems except the blood sugar.

$141 is a LOT of money. Have you met your deductible? Good cholesterol numbers are good news, though!
