Day After Christmas

T’was the day after Christmas
And all through the house
People were napping, both husband and wife
Unwrapping gifts had exhausted them
To say nothing of eating breakfast and a big dinner
It’s no wonder they weren’t getting any thinner.
Time to find places for all the new gifts
And go to the shops to return those that don’t fit.
Christmas is over for another year
A day to celebrate with those we hold dear.
