It’s That Time of Year

It’s time to reassess my medical insurance. Every year we have to do this — those of us on Medicare — and decide if we need to switch to a different plan. I usually attend several meetings on the topic.

The first one was Tuesday. It was held at a close-by Pasta House Restaurant and I was a bit surprised that only three people showed up for the program. Two of those were a married couple. The presenter did a good job with his material. If it wouldn’t require my changing doctors, I’d probably sign up for his package. But my doctor isn’t in their program and finding a new doctor is more stressful than deciding on insurance coverage.

I was a mite surprised to be given a tote bag and a pill box along with a ballpoint pen for coming. In addition, I was served a four-piece serving of toasted ravioli (yum!) and coffee.

All in all, it was definitely worth my while to go to the meeting.

I hear you! This time out I am looking at changing both medical and part D. Ugh! Plus, my beloved doctor is retiring at the end of the year! NOOOOOO!! Where do I resign?
