How Not To Celebrate

Thursday was my oldest nephew’s birthday. He did not celebrate in grand style. He hadn’t been feeling well for a few days. Wednesday found him at Urgent Care where he was told to go to the hospital. Wednesday night found him in the ICU at the hospital.

When I talked to him Thursday, he was grumpy. He was doing a bit better since he was in a regular room but wasn’t happy to be in the hospital. One part of the diagnosis was that he’s now diabetic and he isn’t at all happy with what he’s been given to eat. That’s understandable. He’s a very picky eater.

But, thank God, the pneumonia diagnosis was either in error or else God answered that part of our prayers already. The staph infection in his arm is the major focus.

This is definitely not the way you want to celebrate your birthday.
