I’m annoyed with the local Boy Scouts. Last Saturday was their big food drive. They collect canned food which is then donated to local food pantries. This is a huge undertaking; they collect at least two million cans.
So they come by the house and tie a plastic collection bag to the door. The homeowner is expected to fill it with food and leave it on the porch the following Saturday when they’ll come back and collect it. Except they didn’t!
I had my bag sitting on the porch the night before since they ask that you have it out by 7 a.m. and I didn’t want to have to wake up to put it out there. I waited all day for them to collect it. The bag was still there on Sunday morning. Supposedly we can take the uncollected food to a certain bank and turn it in. But I don’t know where that bank is and prefer not to go searching for it.
So what I’m going to do is set my bag aside and wait for the Lettermen’s food drive. I can set the bag by the mailbox and they will definitely pick it up.
