This Is Getting Boring

Not feeling well is getting boring. I thought I was over my bout of vertigo but the last day or so I’ve had brief spells of it. I’m so looking forward to being done with this once and for all.

Now I’m having an ongoing issue with my innards. I’m thinking I got a touch of food poisoning from eating out Wednesday night. Problem is I can’t figure out what I had that would have caused the problem. I ordered the same things on the menu that I’ve had in the past with no problem. Still, my bathroom has been very popular these last few days.

I got my knees shot yesterday. The experience wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be. The doctor demonstrated he has a sense of humor which was appreciated. I do wonder why I rushed to get to my appointment on time. I had to wait about 40 minutes before I was taken to an exam room and then maybe another ten before I saw the doctor. Oh, well, I did see him. I got the shots and I’m cautiously optimistic about the results.

There were a couple of bad parts of the experience. One was feeling the contents of the shot going into my knee. Am I weird or does anyone else feel the contents actually going in? The other was following the instructions to use an ice pack on my knees for two hours when I got home. I found that very uncomfortable since cold tends to make my knees hurt more. But I dug out my ice bag (since I didn’t have any frozen peas) and did it.

Here’s looking forward to more interesting blog posts in the near future!

It is possible that you got food poisoning from your Wednesday night meal. Awhile back I ate something out late, and it was something I have eaten a few times in the past. It made me feel terrible for three days. Hope you recover quickly.
Regarding your shot knees, I think you are probably doing very well. I’ve not had it done, but friends who have tell me how painful the procedure is. I also hope you recover quickly from it, and that it lasts for a long time.

I’ve never had the knee shots but the couple of times I had to get Prednisone shots (bad, bad bronchitis), I SWEAR I could feel the stuff going into my hip. And it burned, too. It seems reasonable that you could feel the synovial fluid replacement (I’m guessing that’s what you had) going in; it’s very viscous.

I hope the shots work well for you. I know some people who had them who found them very helpful.
