A treasured friend passed away last Wednesday. Her viewing was Sunday and the funeral was yesterday.
The day dawned grey and rainy, a fitting sort of day to say good-by to my friend. There weren’t many at her farewell service but everyone had good things to say about her. Her children seemed so appreciative of my coming to the funeral.
Their mother looked so nice, lying in her casket. She had a look of peace and happiness on her face. Her daughter told me, “Mom is where she wants to be.” That’s a good thought to hold in memory when saying your final good-by to a dear friend.
