The Sunday morning worship service at church was different. A number of people who had come to the deaf retreat stayed over for the Sunday morning service. The people in my local congregation who are involved in deaf ministry formed a choir and signed/sang a song in the service. It was very moving and made a big impact on the congregation.
The sermon was brought by a deaf man. He signed and gestured and his wife interpreted for him. His gestures were pretty easy to follow. The emotion he put in his sermon on holding onto the faith left a big impact on me.
It was an unusual Sunday morning. I’m glad I was there … along with quite a number of people who had remember to “spring forward.”
