I’m almost finished with the peach colored sweater. I still need to add the neck trim — just two or three rows — and set in the sleeves and sew the underarm/side seams. I should be able to get that done tomorrow so I can attend the shower tomorrow evening. My right hand hurts too much tonight to do any more on it. I’m not sure I have enough yarn left to make a hat and I definitely don’t have the time. I might cast on a bunch of stitches on a circular needle and knit a strip in seed stitch to match the borders which could be tied around the baby’s head like a headband. I might have enough time to do that tomorrow. I’ll see.
I’m going to set C’s sweater aside for a little longer since I no longer need it right away. At the Guild’s Founders’ Day Luncheon in December we were given a ball of baby yarn and told to make something for one of our charity projects which is given to babies. I don’t know where that ball of yarn is! I have lots of yarn in my stash so I’ll dig out something and find a pattern to knit a baby sweater for the Guild. We’re to bring them to the annual Potluck Lunch on June 21 so I don’t have a lot of time. I could probably do this peach sweater again, especially if I made a smaller size. I’ve been thinking of how to do it so the body is seamless. The pattern I select for the Guild sweater will depend on what yarn I pull from the stash.
