Yay – 100% thanks to the combined efforts of friends for 1,7 & 8. Thye provided lively discussions. Thanks Charlotte for an enjoyable quiz – I have stayed up late tonight just to get the answers checked. We had a mini “Christmas” today as some of the family are going north for Christmas and our eldest grandchild, almost 4, loves jigsaw puzzles and puts pieces in place before I can figure out where they go! That answers your rhetorical question

It’s always hard to lose a loved one, but especially in the seasons of joy. A friend just lost her 21 son to possible drug related heart disease. No matter the cause, it’s just hard to lose those near to our hearts. I will pray for a good outcome.

I am sorry to hear this news. I will of course join you in prayer for her. I also received sad news about a longtime friend this week. She started chemo yesterday. So we have much to pray about!

I don’t mind the letters at all; like you, a number of the people I correspond with only send cards at Christmas so it’s a good way to keep up.

I do draw the line at the three-page, size-8-font extravaganzas that some people with large and accomplished families send. Sometimes editing is a good thing.

I still have to do my cards.

No cards prepared. House decorated. Now I just have to prepare for: a Christmas luncheon for the middle school teachers, a progressive dinner for the youth, and a 26 guest dinner party at our house. Oh, and we only have 1 present purchased!
